with the new placement for first semester next year being confirmed, i can't help but to begin looking forward to taking the 2 kids which will be handed over from charlene. as i'm taking boon feng & si xue from her, charlene will take over cayden, ethan & huichi from me. yes, if you do remember si xue. the si xue who's endlessly & hopelessly talking about his FANS!
i thank God for charlene, for being willing & ready to guide me in settling in this school so quickly and smoothly. i thank God for blessing me to be in the same programme as her who happens to be in the fcbc youthnet family too. i'm also thankful that my fellow colleagues work together as a team and not individual class teachers. so much so that they are always making fun of me & my fetish for firemen & fire engines!
the new changes for moving up from my current class to the class next year are beginning to creep up onto my thoughts & creating a bit of self-inflicted tension and stress. because these kids are of a higher functioning level, there is a greater need to be in-line with regular/mainstream curriculum. on top of that, parents have firmer and stricter views & perspectives too.
but i am definitely looking forward to it! the new challenges and higher level of excitement with lesser mode of anticipation seemed pretty enticing :)
in the meantime, its just 2 more weeks of high-intensity of semester planning & adminstrative matters followed by 1 last week of school. i just need to hang in there for 3 more weeks. jia you jia you! :)
