i've been observing my other colleagues while they took their kids for the past week. really, one thing which i observed in common for a few of them was their ability to take each challenge & frustrating moment is to simply see the child as the child and their problems as the problem. in case you don't really understand what i'm saying, i'll try my best to give a brief explanation here.

you see, children with exceptional needs are often seen as difficult children. that is because when they do "unusual" or "weird" things, most people label them as problems themselves. but what i saw was different. the way they related to the children when things go haywire or tantrums are thrown everywhere, showed me that they saw beyond the children's disorders. even when some of them got upset with their kids, they took their upsetness lightheartedly and laughed things off.

this week has certainly been a good headstart for me :)
