mel, sarah, huiyi, layleng & i went to TC to attend gloria's baptism on friday night. well, she's still part of us even though she has moved to the adult network. since most of us live around the same area and layleng could send us back too, we decided to catch forbidden kingdom at yishun since huiyi lives in that district. hence layleng drove from marine parade to yishun. but never would she expect that the night was, in the end filled with lots of driving around our singapore island.
cos after the movie at about 11plus, we decided to give shuyan a little boost of encouragement by visiting her in hall and to get her out for supper. thus, layleng had to drive from yishun to NUS. however, we were delayed and only left yishun at midnight because huiyi insisted that she needs to go home and change her contact lenses, which became that she conveniently made us wait 15mins downstairs while she SHOWERED.
we arrived at temasek hall and headed to shuyan's room. knocked many times, called her but she didn't pick up her phone. OH NO. we all thought we probably made a wasted trip, had to then try to figure out the various possibilities of her "missingness". but huiyi managed a accurate guess while we waited at her doorstep. she went to shower! haha.
a few mins later, we heard footsteps and we turned our heads in the other direction of the corridor and saw shuyan coming back with all her shower stuff. but but BUT you should have seen her reaction when she saw us! heh.
ate supper at fong seng and dropped off shuyan at TH at about 2am. but upon leaving the carpark, layleng just remembered that qiaoyun was at NUH. so we decided to do another round of visiting again. as she drove past the various blocks until we reached medical drive, almost NUH, we decided that we'll call shuyan if she wants to join us to say hi to qiaoyun. but of cos, shuyan would definitely say yes.
so smart right. so layleng drove back from NUH to TH again to pick shuyan up, then drove the same way back to NUH. we thought we want to give qiaoyun a big surprise by getting huiyi to call and meet her first. but in the end, the group of us were too kuku to realise that we didn't figure out which direction she was going to come out from. that in the end, qiaoyun gave us a big surprise instead when she suddenly appeared behind us!
after all the giggles and laughters in the quiet & solemn basement of NUH at 2plus in the morning, we left qiaoyun to go back to her work with smiles and grins. then layleng sent shuyan back to TH again and dropped mel, sarah & i at our homes. which ended all of us back home about 3plus in the wee hours.
it was such a simple plan that ended with many follow ups in the end. all of us were very much exhausted after the whole long night out. especially layleng too. but i'm very glad & thankful, that the time we've spent and efforts we've made have certainly come a long way :)
