"raindrops keep falling on my head
and just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
nothing seems to fit
the raindrops are falling on my head
they keep falling
so i just did me some talking to the sun
and i said i didn't like the way he got things done
sleeping on the job
the raindrops are falling on my head
they keep falling"
how apt that we could hear loud lightning flashes and rolling thunders this week as my kids were brought to a greater sense of awareness & understanding of the weather, especially when we're on the theme of nature this month.
with the unpredictability of the weather blowing hot & cold, we teachers seemed more concerned for the kids in our scheduled outdoor field trips for the next 2 weeks or so. or at least for the some of us who believed firmly in the need for outdoor learning for the children. rather than to save and secure ourselves for the hassle and stressful moments of taking the kids out.
so my kids, together with the 6 year olds are going out to HortPark tmr. And we're praying really hard that we'll have good weather and God will hold the heavy clouds until we're back in school safe & sound!
"You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
So let the sun shine in
Face it with a grin
Smilers never lose
And Frowners never win
So let the sun shine in
Face it with a grin
Open up your heart
and let the sun shine in!"
