huiyi, yanying & i left for batam view resort on friday morning and return last night at about 9pm. there was a little hint of disapointment when we realised that we couldn't do any sea sports due to some technical problems they had with their motors. but it was also because of this that we didn't fill ourselves up with too many activities and enabled us to spend many prolonged intervals with God.
we played at the beach, went for some out-dated KTV, swam in the swimming pool, lazed around in the sun, went for massages, had ice cream everyday, spent time with God on our own and sat by the lagoon till sunset for our long heart-to-heart chats.
it was time well-spent together, with God and alone too. i'm glad for the deliberate time set aside so that i could just soak in a serene atmostphere with God's presence. the breakwaters & guard house at the end of the lagoon were great places to converse with God and to stand in awe of His magnificient and beautiful creations. 
indeed God works in many miraculous ways which i can never imagine. those 3 days 2 nights together certainly would have made a lot of difference in the phases of our lives right now. it is also, a comfort to know that we can now relate, open up and share much more after this retreat together.
