its a different cny this year.

spending the last few days with various people and seeing them repeatedly seemed to have strengthened bonds, created those feelings of the good ol' days and of cos, drew a sense of closeness to my heart towards them.

i'm glad that cny was spread over the weekend. the past few years cny schedule for me have always been pretty packed and then you get back to your usual routines right after that. even though i have lots of visitings to do, but it has not been a really family family time. but this year's has been how cny should really be. a relaxed week of many closely-knitted gatherings and meet ups.

even though my email inbox just showed me of the many events/outings that my kids are going for the next few weeks with the numerous things to prepare before that, i just somehow look forward to get started on work again.

i've been blessed this cny, not just by the angbaos i've received. but blessed by the quality time i've spent over this week. thank God for chinese new year :)
