I AM A PROMISE

I am a promise
I am a possibilty
I am a promise with a capital "P"
I am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I am learning to hear God's voice
And I am trying to make the right choice
I am a promise to be anything (anything? ANYTHING!) God wants me to be

I can go anywhere that He wants me to go
I can be anything He wants me to be
I can climb the high mountains

in the past few weeks or so for every other day, i've been hearing my boss trying to teach this song to the kids during morning circle time. just lately, i was reminded of the kind of obedience and that simple faith i used to have not too long ago. things seemed to have changed a little now. or maybe i just keep comparing of how "guai" i could be in the past, or maybe i just feel horrible when i know that i can't meet up to expectations of myself. but well i won't say its a bad thing though, because i know that this is a season that God is putting me through.

each line of this simple sunday school song speaks to how i can really trust and let God lead with the little faith i have. i made up my mind to memorise the lyrics so that i can teach the other group of children whom i take for circle time each morning.

its just another kind of kids' song where we hear it, most of us will smile in amusement and say "so cute" kinda thing. but more that just that, i thought that i do want to make this a personal prayer.

to be a promise,
to know that i am a possibility,
to trust that i have the potential,
to learn to hear God's voice,
to make the right choices,
to want to be anything that God wants me to be.
