i thought that i could really feel the joy in chantelle's annoucement today. it really warmed my heart to hear her happiness.
well, i was just nagging at my kids to stop dazing and focus on eating their lunch. due to some of their stoning habits during lunch time, i often have to find alternatives to make them eat faster instead of plainly feeding them. by the way, chantelle is always one of those.
me: "baby chantelle, do you need me to feed you?"
chantelle: *frowns* "NO! i am not a baby. i can eat by myself!"
me: "oh, then you better finish your lunch. Or, i will come and feed you like you're a little baby."
chantelle: "OH! my mummy's tummy is going to grow bigger."
me: "why?"
chantelle: *giggles* "my mummy is going to have a baby! i am so happy!"
me: *smiles* "oh, who told you that? how come mummy is going to have a baby?"
chantelle: "because i asked mummy for a baby brother. and daddy told me that we are going to have a baby!" *giggles*
me: "wow! so aren't you very happy?"
chantelle: "Yes yes! so that when i grow a bit bigger, i will have my baby brother to play with me!"
me: "i am glad for you, dear. so can you finish your lunch now?"
chantelle: "oh no, i'm too excited to eat! can i eat my lunch tomorrow?"
me: *faints*
