SO LONG, FAREWELL

its been a good 3 years period since i started serving in then touchkidz, now gkidz. leaders whom i have served side by side with, the short yet memorable encounters with the little ones. there's so much i feel which i don't know how to put down into words. i am proud to say that my service in children's ministry has brought many blessings to others, the children that i teach and care for, my fellow club leaders and yes, even parents. but through it all, i know that the one who have been truly blessed is ME.

God works in many ways. being in this service has brought me new perspectives, greater understanding, a closer walk with God & being in His family, knowing myself better and many more. like i was asked today, what was the greatest takeback through the past 3 years? it would be learning to see things from a child's perspective. the childlike faith, the innocent fear of insecurity, the joy and laughers of simplicity, the inquisitivity and ever-active mind.

i thank God for this opportunity, even as this chapter comes to a close. people whom i have worked with have been really supportive and encouraging. the words of appreciation i received today evoked some emotions out of me again. because i know that through the few years, part of my heart belongs here and over time, this team has grown into a family.

i'm very touched to know the part i play in the team. special thanks to gina, ellen, wanru, sharon, henry, annabelle, xavier, yvonne and many many more. especially mingchun. thank you for that ever-willingness to serve and your simple 'just-do-it' spirit with extra extra faith included. i have been blessed working together with you. my sincere heartfelt thanks for being such a wonderful group partner! :)
