Adopt a duck!
somehow or other, my director has some affliations with TOUCH Community Services. apparently its kinda exciting for me cos i felt like somethings which are happening in church are like taking place in my workplace too.
anyways, my director decided that we will bring this adopt-a-duck campaign into the centre. so parents were encouraged to adopt and then bring in the little ducks for our little adopt-a-duck celebration in the centre.
so we had a ducky day! unfortunately, i forgot to charge my camera battery and i didn't really capture anything for today's event. but each class made a pond for our little ducks, all the kids were dressed up in yellow, teachers read lots of stories related to ducks et cetera et cetera. basically, the whole day was about ducks. haha. but we had a highlight during our common project time, which is after lunch. the whole centre gathered in the gym room for a little sing-along. you might have guessed, we sung every song there was, related to ducks. then the teachers acted out a little skit on "Guji Guji" for the kids and they certainly enjoyed themselves very much!
oh but prior to this event, the younger classes spent 30mins each class to give out fliers at the atrium below our centre to help TCS advertise this adopt-a-duck campaign. the kids dressed up like little ducklings and gave out the fliers. and you know what, my class time slot was 1pm. since it was lunch time for the working people, so we actually gave out all our fliers within 10mins. but i'm sure its mainly because my little ducklings were awfully adorable! don't you think so? :)
