i went over to rachel's house to work on our paired assignment today. we decided to stop at about 5pm and i decided to hang around a little longer before i leave as rachel was waiting for her piano to be delivered in the evening.

the delivery men came at about 5.45pm. but because of the 2 steep flights of stairs before her doorstep, they had to make a tiring and extremely exhausting move of 2 hours just to get up that 2 horrible stairways. besides, there was even not enough manpower that ben had to help them move too. after which, they had to bring in the piano part by part and to fix it up again. because the moving of the piano took up the whole place, i ended up only leaving her house close to 9pm. that was a really long delay.

upon reaching home, my mum told me that a mini earthquake took place in my room. i hurried to my room to check. guess what. my two shelves which were mounted on the wall just above my computer/study table crashed down. what's more, all my reference books and textbooks and my printer practically fell onto the desk. a few parts of my drawers had a few chipped corners. my computer was just below the shelves too. but thankfully, it wasn't damanged or destroyed. else i won't be typing this already. trust a thing to happen at this moment of time when i have all my lesson plans and curriculum web and all my other assignments stored in the computer. phew. pretty scary.
