mel and i were just talking about visiting ikea tampines on our way home on thursday night. because we both commented that we haven't been there yet. coincidentally, we brought up our fetish for ikea meatballs and chicken wings. so we made up our minds to satisfy our tastebuds after service & all the other cell group stuff today. along came huiyi and shuyan too. unfortunately, zhimin has exams, qiaoyun's tied down with her busy doctor schedule, yanying needs to go home, huiwen couldn't come, laifong had earlier appointments, sarah went to school for project and layleng has to prepare for lessons. so i drove the four of us there.

it was the first time there for the four of us. we reached there starving. okayys okayys. at least it was just me and huiyi. you see, mel and shuyan found seats. so the hungry two went to order food. but one lesson you must learn, is not to allow raveneous people to do the ordering. because we practically ordered nearly everything on the menu.

we had:

1. a plate of the golden crisp and fluffy fries
2. a plate of the delectable poached salmon
3. a plate of savoury meatsauce spaghetti
4. 6 juicy and tender fried chicken wings
5. 20 swedish tantalizing meatballs & potatoes
6. 3 soft vanilla ice cream




at the end of it all, we're stuffed. we sort of finished everything, except for a pile of bones. since we were so full up, we took a walk and did some window shopping in the store. exploring all the cute little creative items ikea had. and we went into this crazy thing about planning for our future familes and homes, about what kind of furniture and equipment we should get for each other, about how we would invite each other into our nicely-decorated homes and about what kind of gifts we can get for our children. haha. i think we spent a total of 3 hours there. we didn't do much though, spent about three-quarters of the time there eating and chatting away. but we left happy and satisfied :):)
